Address bar malfunction in newly opened tab or window

Sometimes (not always, but annoyingly frequent) when I open new tab or window (or incognito window) and type something manually or just paste copied text into the address bar - whether it is an URL or just a phrase to look-up in the search engine - Opera ignores the typed text completely - clears the typed text in the address bar and does not proceed neither to search nor to the entered URL. So I have to type it (or paste it) again. Second time works always. Any ideas? Am I only one affected?

Your version of Windows - Windows 7 x64 Pro SP1 6.1.7601
Your version of Opera - 74.0.3911.203, problem persists for at least couple updates already

Steps to (try to) reproduce the issue: (Does not work everytime)

• Open new Tab or Window
• Manually type URL, if autocomplete offers right option, you can even allow it to complete the request
• Press Enter.

Expected behavior - Opera should open the URL or show the search results from the corresponding search engine
and actual one - Opera deletes everything from address bar and does nothing
Dell Laptop, Core i5-2520M CPU, 8 GB RAM (not fully consumed by Opera at the time of the glitch).

@veetby Most obvious guess would be that it occurs when Opera is slow to load the speed dial page - see if that is what appears to be happening.

@sgunhouse Yes, it happens when speed dial page or "You are in private mode" page is still loading. Thanks!
