Issue with File Explorer

Hello,
Anytime I try to use a file upload tool, my browser completely bricks the window I have open. Nothing pops up in Windows, the built in "most recent files" popup doesn't occur, and I simply can't do anything. I'm not sure how to resolve this or what action I should take. I killed the tab in the Opera Task Manager that caused it, but the browser window is still bugged and I can't do anything other than quite out of Opera entirely:

This issue has gotten progressively worse - tabs are now not loading. I've disabled all of the extensions. Reset while keeping settings, reset without keeping, reinstall in the uninstaller, complete uninstall, restart and reinstall. I am currently using Opera GX on Windows, Version 73.0.3856.400.

@leocg Regular Opera and Chrome are both working fine. This has only begun happening for 2-3 days now.

@leocg Hi again, I stopped using Opera for awhile because the issue became uncontrollable. After removing and reinstalling again, cleared cache and extensions, and all my profiles, the issue persists. The only way I can restore access to Opera is by closing via Task Manager and then going to the Details tab and closing the final opera.exe process that is there. Nothing different has happened and I have no crazy customizations in my Opera or System that should be causing this. Firefox worked fine for the past 3 months, only came back because I wanted to give Opera another change and hope this issue was resolved. Chrome works fine as well.
The issue with tabs seems to be related to some internal DNS problem with Opera, not sure what exactly the cause is, but if I close Opera via Task Manager, a few launches later it works again. The primary problem of the File Explorer remains.

I've continued having this issue regularly and also have other friends who are using Opera GX reporting the issue...can we please have this looked into?

@neverforget98 Until we have a way to reproduce the problem on other computers, it'll be impossible to fix the problem. So... any idea what happened before the first time you saw it? Was there a recent update to Windows perhaps, a new program you installed, a setting you changed, or something different?

I don't recall exactly what has happened, but on my own computer and others (one of my clients is working with Opera to promote the GX Browser) that have reported the issue to me, nothing "significant" has changed, and for some of them, its happening practically from the start. No new windows updates, no settings changes, very diverse sets of users (some just use the browser casually, some have a bunch of extensions, some have Windows 10 Pro, some have Home). Primarily, I am able to notice this issue on occasion when I try to upload or download a file that requires file explorer. Once it locks the browser, the only solution is to close it via task manager, which usually creates another issue where Speed Dial and Tabs won't load (which I've also reported), and I have to continue closing through Task Manager and re-opening until Speed Dial loads. Sometimes, this resolves the issue with File Explorer, others it does not.
I should also note, this issue does not exist on Firefox, Chrome, or Edge. This is the only browser I and others have faced this with. And with a recent big push to have this browser used heavily by Twitch Users, this issue needs to be looked at.
Please provide some steps on how I can document this issue and provide some information including crash steps or data collection. I'm happy to provide this, but I'm not being told "what" to provide. There seems to be this assumption that my Window's installation is causing the issue, but as I've noted, I'm not the only one having this problem, so it can't be just "my Windows".
Thank you,

@sgunhouse I have, and unfortunately the Recent Files isn't the issue - the Recent Files actually works, and avoids this issue, but as soon as I have to download and select a location in File Explorer, or I need to upload something outside of the Recent Files, thats when this issue begins.

I had the same problem, the only solution is to update the browser. Downloading the client from another browser.

This issue went away for so long and now its come back again...how do you guys keep managing to break the browser? You can't do anything when this happens. It's only started again since the most recent update.
