Can't like Wordpress posts using Opera

When attempting to "like" a post on any Wordpress site, be it Wordpress.com or Wordpress.org sites, I get a white box and then the Wordpress like button says I liked the post. It should show the persons picture. I refresh the page, it's like I was never there. Turned off ad blocker+, and turned off native Opera ad blocker and tracker. Dumped site cache and browser cache to no avail.

Opera version: 72.0.3815.186
Mac version 10.13.6 (High Sierra)

Deactivate the tracking blocker? Most "Like" features would count as tracking, after all.
