Opera refreshing pages automatically if background tab left for a certain time

When I leave a background tab inactive for a while, and switch to it, it refreshes. This annoys me and I want a way to turn it off? How do I, though?

@munastronaute Not possible to disable it for good. You can try going to opera://discards and disable it for specific pages and, probably, temporarily.

This happened after the last update. The opera has three pages open. One is active. After some time about 15 minutes, inactive pages are reloaded. This is normal.? This has not happened before.

@sgunhouse This is a site with a game. open for example 3 pages. on short, three game accounts are loaded. Previously, these pages were active even if they were not visited for a long time. after the last update of the opera, two of these three pages that were in the background start to reload.
And this is not only with the game site. I'm watching the film. I went away for 20 minutes. the laptop fell asleep. I turn it on - the site reloads. Is it possible to somehow get back the previous version of the opera? -

Good day.
I want to clarify again.
after the last update of the browser, inactive (background) open pages fly off, that is, they are reloaded. that is, while you are working in one tab, Facebook opened in another tab is disabled
this is very inconvenient. just a disaster.
Can I do it as it was before the update? or you can eliminate this inconvenience. -

@box250383 said in Opera refreshing pages automatically if background tab left for a certain time:
go to opera: // discards
settings - advanced - background synchronization - Allow recently closed sites to finish receiving and transmitting data (recommended) - negative.
are these settings? -

True. This is so annoying. I already reported this and tweeted them, but no answer. This is a major inconvenient because I lose the progress when tab refreshes. I don't know why they added this option. I specifically hated this in Chrome, at least they have an option to disable it. Wouldn't like to switch because I honestly love Opera.
