The adblocker is not working topic (Opera for Desktops)

I wonder if the developers are aware of this problem. I haven't heard a word from them. We've been dealing with this for months. Other ad blockers had the exact same problem and they all managed to fix it. One of the Opera's main features is broken and no one cares, I don't understand.
Yes, I'm aware of the fact that I can choose another ad blocker, but that's not a solution. What is going on?

Even with the adblocker on, i still have to skip youtube ads even if the ads themselves dont really show up. And on youtube music, the ads still just play as if there is no adblocker.

Twitch ads aren't being blocked.
On Opera Mobile, YouTube ads aren't being blocked at all.

Hello, Opera devs, how are you today? It's been months and we didn't get a single answer.

Hello, please fix the built-in ad blocker. It doesn't work at all. For example, I just installed the Opera update and after that the ad blocker simply refuses to block ads. Please correct it.

Yes, nothing has been done so far.
Still, the Adblocker fails to block YouTube ads.
I thought it has been solved. Let hopes for 2021. -

This a global problem with any build in adblock using filterlists that dont change it. Not sure if Opera is involved in this on purpose but that specific ad on youtube is annoying and even freezes the tab sometimes.

Same happened to me, but i installed a second adblocker (ublock origin) And still have to skip ads. Idk what's this. I don't wanna install a third adblocker, because just in a site where you must disable your adblocker i will have to disable all my 3 ad blockers, annoying.

It doesn't block the ads very good because,
it only stops the adds and it gives you a white screen to click on "Skip Ad"

I've disabled the Opera Adblocker completely and set up ABP the same way. That works fine now. This is clearly a bug in Opera Adblocker.

Has anyone noticed that this just got worse? I was getting these blank screens with the "skip ad" button, but only ever at the beginning of videos. Now I'm getting them in the middle of videos as well. Feels like Opera are trying to slowly ease us into discontinuing the youtube ad block feature.

Same problem here. I experienced the mid-roll interruption since the beginning of the week. Using Opera Stable and GX on 2 different computers. Already did a full reset and removed all addons.
This helped a bit, I can watch most of the time without the mid-roll interrupt, it mostly comes back if I start jumping inside the video...super annoying if you see the "Add in x seconds" appear after that. Also tried blocking everything with a pi-hole, additional adblocker etc, nothing seems to work right now

@moismyname Yes, it's even worse now. And it's the end of February already. No replies from Opera about one of their main features, no fixes, nothing. What a shame! Unbelievable.
