Hi @PopNLach, the flag (and its feature) is removed in Opera stable 70.0.3728.71. It's replaced with a new feature "Search In Tabs", where you can find 3 recently closed tabs. In Opera developer 71, there's already additional button "Show more" (which is under development) for recently closed tabs, that one should be able to use to see more than 3 tabs.

I hate that little search icon so much! The original list of recently closed tabs was essential for long browsing sessions. Now it´s buried in the menu. Way to go You could at least keep the switch in flags and let your users to decide...

Why would you remove a perfectly working function without giving a option to retain it.
This new "option" just sucks... it was one of the bests unique features of opera. -

Will we see massive updates of the app icon in the upcoming releases? When will "Help" and "Settings" finally switch places in the menu? When will these crucial features demanded by thousands of users be there??

How can i restore an older version? I don't want this "very useful" thing.
Return back recently closed tabs or else! -

@Degurechaff97 That question was already answered several times.

@leocg Where exactly? In general, this new functionality is not entirely clear. Why was it not possible to add this function with search without touching what was? People used this very actively. And you decided to "improve". This is the case when the best is the enemy of the good. And this topic arose - for a reason. It would be nice for the developers to listen to users' opinions, and not spit on them.

@esselesse I don't have any link here, you will have to search by yourself.

@greyreth Nope, I am not being paid for it. Like in majority of forums, moderators are just volunteer users.
One of the main points of having a forum is exactly to avoid that the same questions keep being asked all the time and getting the same known answers, as well as the same issues being reported several times and being solved by the same solutions.

@leocg From time to time, I've been trying to find some "known answers" since around 2010, and giving up after 20-30mins because what I saw in google results was either not what I needed, or already legacy, or no info at all as if Google banned these forums, or the world pretended my bugs and glitches were my own fault, or they were not bugs but features.
I hate you. Just for you to know. I hate the way Opera deals with info about itself. The only thing I hate more than this is: when I move my mouse to where a button I use every day should be - and there I find some incredible shit instead of this button.
