Well, the ugly and flickering dropdowns are in Beta now. It was previously fixed in 68 Beta (or it was an accidental fix, but dropdowns were nice) and now this bug AGAIN here in Beta. https://forums.opera.com/post/210304

First thing I did in this new release was to go into Experiments and Disable "Extensions Toolbar Menu". Don't need more clutter in the UI. Bad enough can't turn off that "Easy Setup" button, which just takes up space.

Do something with the annoying 'flashbangs' on browser start (especially in dark mode).
First I see a general full screen white flash (most probably doesn't refer to the browser's UI directly), then I see how does the background flicker few times: solid colorful background (the main color of the wallpapers) > pure white > solid dark background > wallpaper finally. On all channels. I'm not a fan of the stroboscopic effects.
P.S. Compare how does O58 start here

The weather widget shows the wrong city. How to change it?
How to remove this button? She is not needed there.
And how do I remove “Frequently visited sites” in the address bar? It bothers me and irritates me a lot.

@thortik To remove the button, go into chrome://flags and Disable "Extensions Toolbar Menu". To turn off "Frequently visited sites" in the address bar, I went into Settings/Advanced/User interface and turned off "Show enhanced address bar".

Where is "Open Tabs"? It is not available in the sidebar... And now it is impossible to view open tabs from another device...

With the dark theme, the Block and Delete cookies buttons are almost unreadable, again.

I'm guessing it's related to the "Flashbangs", but I see a real slowdown, and CPU spike sometimes, particularly when opening a new window. I "overuse" browsers, with "too many tabs" and such, but this was not behaving badly prior to this push.
