      opera developer 68.0.3602
I've gotta say this is annoying.
      Let me first say....

      opera_autoupdate.exe is a pain.
I disable and remove then one from 2016 magically returns.

      opera_crashreporter.exe also a pain.
      notification_helper.exe not wanted or needed.
      installer.exe / installer_helper(_64).exe installer_helper.dll all not wanted.

The sandbox launcher.exe seems perfectly pointless.
      Minimalization is required.
Over the years to get my 'PORTABLE' opera developer browser I regularly look to see if there is a new version.
auto update always fails so i download as follows the (ZIP)
      "Opera_Developer_68.0.3602.0_Setup_x64.exe" (ZIP)
      from "http://get.opera.com/pub/opera-developer/"
I normally run a command line like so....
      "F:\Opera\opera.exe --disable-update --user-data-dir="F:\Opera\PROFILES\DARK"
Extract over the last one, and fire away.
Mostly all has been good till now once again right click crash chaos.
      The last developer episode [68.0.3602]
      Is there a developer forum?

So, Opera Developer 68.0.3602 64-bit crashes for you when you right-click? What OS? Where do you have to right-click? Anywhere or on a page?

Do you still have opera_crashreporter.exe present? If so, when Opera crashes and restarts, you'll be able to send in a crash log along with your email address so someone can take a look at the crash. You could even post the crash id here.

@lowlife9 The link didn't come out right for the 7z file.

When does it crash though? Just when you right-click anywhere? What OS?

Does it still crash if you try with a fresh profile --user-data-dir=f:\opera\profiles\test? (don't set up Opera Sync in it and don't install any extensions)

Crash still there in https://blogs.opera.com/desktop/2020/02/opera-68-0-3609-0-developer-update/? Download the installer, launch it, click "options", set "install path" to a folder named "Opera Test" on your desktop, set "install for" to "standalone installation", uncheck "import data from default browser", and install. Test in that Opera, but do not enable Opera Sync, do not install any extensions and do not cripple the autoupdater, crash updater or any of the installer files.

                  Does it work fine there?

@burnout426 Not any of the above. autoupdate, crashreporter. notification are crippling browser with all extras.
The current problem i realize is ...
MENU > MENU > MENU > what jumps in
css or js, jumping in to the right click menu and then
being disabled (probably with (new) CORS) then crashing whole browser.
Too much JS, CSS, additional supplements advertising agencies, supportive rich umbrella companies with their own agenda's.
                    I dont want disable extensions.
I dont want loads of other thing working in the background.

                    As i said before permissions.

There is no reason you cant deliver zip/7z extract to folder and run in folder,
the process has become too complex over years trying to make everyone happy everywhere.

I did want opera as my default browser but i did not want files distributed in either "ROAMING", "LOCAL" or anywhere else.

I wanted one "PORTABLE" browser. extract into folder "PROFILE" in that folder, delete or backup if necessary and make default.
What think you good citizen kane, khan, chan, dan da man, fan, pam, spam, da plan, mam, scam, ham an eggs, scan, han solo?
adhoc sic et al ad infinitum ad nauseum etc etc nb ...

Are you saying that you tried the the new build and it still crashes? Are you saying you tried the standalone installation and it still crashes?

I don't know what you're talking about there. Step by step instructions or a video showing how to reproduce the crash would help.

I would test with hardware acceleration turned off. Goto the URL opera://settings/system, disable it and restart Opera.

@lowlife9 Hey, this crash is not related to right click actually but some redraw issue with high-contrast theme. We are tracking it internally as DNA-84567.
