url address defaults to old folder

I recently set up a wordpress website and mistakenly loaded it into a sub folder.
So I removed it, reinstalled it in the main folder and deleted the sub folders
Now when I try to access the main page in opera, it autofills the now non existent sub folders and I get a 404 message.
How can I fix it so that when I type in www.example.com, it doesn't auto add the sub folders on the end?

Delete it from the list. When the list shows up, in you hover over an item in it there will be an X in a circle at the far right to delete it (or if you use the keyboard press Shift+Delete.. Alternatively just delete the auto-added part (with Delete or Backspace) before pressing Enter to just get the correct address in the history.

@sgunhouse Unfortunately it simply defaults to the sub folders which don't exist.

@mygeneration It autocomplete the address before you hit Enter to go there? Or it happens after you have hit Enter?

Before, then I remove the extra folders and hit enter, and they come back
