Opera VPN sending spam?

Says thios about Opera VPN

However when I use opera vpn my gmail and outlook accounts that I run from browser receive a load of spam and advertisement emails. Have ran several tests the last few month, testing with opera vpn and without and with 2 other vpn providers and without a doubt using opera vpn spams my inbox with spam and advertisement emails.
I know its free but the key words are "privacy and security" and is nothing private about my 2 main email addresses being spam with advertisements and other undesirable emails.........
I use different email than I do for opera sync so its not just use my opera email its activly hunted 2 separate email addresses that are not linked to opera and uses them to send spam and advertisements get it that is how opera vpn is free to use but whats the point in it if its spam my email accounts?? not private or secure and defeats the purpose of use it.
Could accept it if the email address I use for opera sync was used in this way as its link to opera but my 2 other private separate emails being used in this way is just plain wrong and again not private or secure to be target my inbox in this way.
I dont expect Developers to confirm that opera vpn does or does not do this as know its all about keeping Operas image looking good however may I suggest that some sort of premium version of the vpn that is not different just it stops the advertisement and spam emails? charge say £1-£3 a month or so and that way its funded with a subscription instead of the way its being funded atm
I do understand that other browser dont have free vpn like opera and am thankful that we have the feature just as say its defeat purpose of it being private and secure if its use your email addresses to filter spam and ads to your inbox.

The way vppn works is it tunnels the data from http/https protocols and encapsulates them in an extra layer of encryption so that when data travel within network and over internet it is more encrypted so it cant be read by any kind of network analysers/sniffers.
Just before it gets encapsulated threw vpn it is first read by vpn and majority is logged so its very easy to get the email addresses you use in your browser.
a vpn encrypts data from ISP and authorities true but that dont mean that the data is private from the vpn providers as it needs to be known at one end of the tunnel then when it gets to network its going to at end of vpn its also encrypted and known to the vpn provider so very easy to just pull email addresses or other data that can be sold on to third parties or used to spam your inbox with advertisements and spam.
This is not something new or some secret and most know free vpn mostly always are use this tactic so they can keep provide it free.

because your data gets read by vpn at start before its encapsulated and then when it gets to place its going its not encrypted as outside the tunnel lol
At least in this country hacking someone's computer to steal their private information is a serious crime.
who said anything about hacking? and the vpn read your data then encrypts it threw network then encrypts it when gets to place it going so it can be read.
no one saying opera vpn steals your data but it does read/log it and selling it on to third party or use it to mail advertisements is something that just happens like with Microsoft and telemetry and google with all the things people use it to search for lol
I mean even paid bitdefender vpn does it and its a security suite so.
not saying its bad bad as its just advertisements and spam just like with android apps. More in the way than anything that will harm your pc and data

You misunderstand how the overall VPN encrypting process works with Opera. Https unique encryption depends on the specific certificates used to establish the https encryption protocols with the other party of the communication. Opera encrypts your packet headers going to its VPN via https using Opera's own VPN site certificate/encryption-protocols before also internally including your packet's detail information that has been separately encrypted by your computer using the destination's https site certificate/encryption-protocols, once they have been initially negotiated at first contact with the target site server.
The resulting packets (doubly-encrypted apart from the singly-encrypted target IP header info) are sent to the VPN server's IP, where Opera's server can decrypt only the IP for your target site. It then relays the still-differently encrypted internal packet data on to the target site's IP as if the packets came from the VPN server's IP. The VPN can only see the target site's IP, which in the case of eMail, is merely the master server but not the individual eMail account details (including your eMail address). Packets coming back from the target site are dealt with the same way, but in reverse... only the target address (in this case, your computer's IP) are visible to Opera.
Everything else you've written about how Opera might finance its VPN operations involves your personal conjecture or prejudice and is not founded in reality. In fact, as has already been posted, what you suggest would constitute a privacy legal violation in Norway (where Opera is legally chartered) and in various other countries.
