[Solved]I can't reset my passphrase!!!!!

Hello,
I bought a new laptop therefore I wanted to transfer all my Sync browser data from my old one that I already sold. I got a big surprise when it asked me for a passphrase, that I don't remember setting. Anyhow, if I wish to recover my passphrase, I would have to erase all the data from the servers. I can't do that because I no longer have the data in my PC.

Any help or guidance is appreciated

It will display the "passphrase" prompt if you changed your password in order to get your old password - try that.

@sgunhouse It does, however, it will erase all the data on the server and keep any data you have locally in your PC. I no longer have my old pc since I erased everything and sold it. If I proceed, I will lose all my data and I can never recover it.

yes, I recovered my password through e-mail

@leocg I tried a few guesses and found my last password, and it unlocked the passphrase. However, I believe that I only got lucky. It's a critical issue that needs to be solved. I believe the users should recover their passphrase through email.
