Пользовался несколько лет, расширение хорошее, но сейчас перешел на более легковесный Translator от автора sailormax.

@andkirby Translator. It does not have all the features of Mate Translate, and is not too beautiful, but it does not load tons of JS code for every page visited, and therefore I switched to it.

I loved this add-on, but for a couple of weeks, the avast has been constantly indicating that it is infected.
