Why did they removed the "GO TO SPEED DIAL" button in opera gx? I loved that function and there is no browser that has that... it comes in handy when u have a dozen tabs open that u don't need them anymore and you go streight to speed dial instead of removing them first.... I know i have it in the SIDEBAR but i don't use that... i always hide it

@Reverse7 They didn't remove it, it has never been there in GX.

              Hi,

In the original Opera browser there is a homepage button, I don't really know if there is also one on the Opera Gx browser. It is normally located in the top left corner between the reload and the search bar.
Can someone tell me where I can find it in the settings or is it not in the GX browser?

                It is in the sidebar:

You need to select the Speed Dial option:

It works a little different from the one in the URL bar. The one in the sidebar will open a new tab in speed dial screen, while the other will change your active tab into the speed dial. The one in the sidebar is in the standard Opera too, and I think having the one near the refresh button would be a great addition to Opera GX.

Add the homepage button (right from refresh button) from standard Opera. (the one with icons with links to websites you choose)

Could we PLEASE get something as simple as a "Home" button on Opera GX, i mean, is it really that hard? Opera normal has one, I see no reason why Opera GX doesnt have one.

Technically, Opera Stable doesn't have a Home button - or a home. It has a Speed dial button.

If your home page is the speed dial, you have a "home" button technically

hello. I'm new user of opera gx and I'm wondering is it still not possible on windows version? On macOS this button is where it should be - by refresh button, why not on windows?

true however.... it's much easier to click on an actual home button rather then clicking on a speed dial button then having to click on the website you have set as your home page.

true, its a feature that is missing and annoying when a thousand tabs are open at once and i have to close them to get the [+] option to open a new tab which goes to the speed dial tab

I want a speed dial / home button as well ! I use it a LOT on standard Opera, instead of closing a tab i hit the home button and I'm ready to go on a new website.
Also I tend to just leave the tab on speed dial screen when i'm not using Opera, because it is not too distracting when working. Having to open a new tab just to access home is infuriating when coming from normal Opera aha

I was requesting this right after initial release, and they still havent done it. Now I copletely switched from main opera to GX and I still do miss this home button. So please, put it back... there is seriously no reason to not have it there besides laziness. Leaving this button out doesnt make GX more "gaming"

@sgunhouse Mods, do feature suggestions actually matter to the development team? If they do, how would we get a simple button implemented?
