I hoped that this feature could be implemented in GX, but its already available in GOG Galaxy. Still, you could do something similar, cause it would make sense for a gaming browser to have a feature like this.

And you could make it even better with adding crossplatform wishlist, available eshops, discounts, reviews, comments, forums, recommendations, etc. There is a lot of possibilites, so you could create one big gaming hub in a browser. A feature like this would probably draw even more gamers to Opera GX.

I think it would be much beter than current GX Corner.

I was requesting this right after initial release, and they still havent done it. Now I copletely switched from main opera to GX and I still do miss this home button. So please, put it back... there is seriously no reason to not have it there besides laziness. Leaving this button out doesnt make GX more "gaming"

Really sucks that I have to do it on my own now when it used to be the default.

Thanks for the reply, but your shortcuts, are not solutions.

1. It doesnt solve the issue of opening speed dial in current tab, instead of opening a new one, so you have to close the previous one (which is annoying)
2. Why woud I prefer typing, instead of single click on speed dial button?

There is one solution, and it is to create a bookmark and put it on the bookmarks bar, then you can even delete text, and you have a properly working speed dial button, but Im not using bookmarks bar.

The speed dial button in the sidebar, I could get used to it, if it worked as previous button, but it doesnt... it opens a new tab again.

Also, I dont really think they are trying to get rid off the speed dial page.... if they wanted to do this, they wouldnt bother with this redesign of speed dial icons. And about your "blury" issue... I dont know, but I havent noticed anything like that. The one thing that is blurry, is the new wallpaper on speed dial, but thats it.

I was recently trying Edge, and it was so refreshing to see that simple home button there. It is such a basic feature! Who cares about some AI, give as that speed dial button.

Can you please improve that ad blocker icon?
There are 2 features in there - ad blocking and tracking protection. But if I turn off one of them, I cannot tell the difference because that icon looks always the same, like both are turned on.
There should be 4 versions of that icon for different states.
When both are turned off.
When both are turned on.
When only tracking protection is on.
And when only ad blocker is on.

Not a big deal for me, but its still a shame they are removing it from chromium.

Still, some more customization would be nice to see. Im using only default text for any SD website, so it has unified feel to it, but the color that is applied isnt usualy what I would expect.
At least changing the colors of text and beckground would be nice, because I dont really recognize blue as a color for gmail or reddit.
Or just make it available to use custom PNG because... why not?

Links widget on the start page

What is the point of this feature? Is there anyone who is using it? We do have speed dial, bookmarks, bookmarks bar, and now these 4 links where you can put emoji instead of icon, but beside this, it has the same functionality as normal bookmark... so whats the point?

Is this the place for your 4 secret bookmarks, or what? I somehow dont understand the reasoning behind implementation of this feature.

Custom color theme is a cool feature, but can you please go all out and unlock brightness slider for secondary color? I would like to have more lighter themed browser instead of dark.

Well, I dont really need neither of them, but... from my perspective, they are doing the same thing.
You are creating a group of websites in both. Tab stacking is faster, cause you can just drag and drop and create a group of tabs, and with workspaces you have to right click on tabs and sent it to new workspace... again, to create a group of tabs. So, whats the difference here? They are the same to me.

Anyway, my point is, that tab stacking is already implemented in chromium, and the fact that it didnt show up in Opera, and instead we got workspaces, could be related. So, maybe Im wrong but I think they just reworked this feature.

Discord is constantly running on my windows anyway, so... if I had it integrated in GX and it did required the same resources as normal app, or less, I certainly wouldnt mind.

@max1c: With workspaces implemented, I dont think they will add tab stacking. Its basicaly the same thing... and tab stacking should be actualy available now in chromium, so I think that the workspaces is just the same feature, but re-worked for Opera.

There supposedly is some way to do it, but I was never bothered to look into it very much...
