It turns red if there is a supposed error in the download - sometimes your antivirus or "internet security" software can cause this.

@sgunhouse what is best way to resolve? reboot opera seems the easiest, but then i never know what the cause is

@youngpr Did you try cleaning the downloads list?

@leocg looking at downloads list found two that seemed incomplete, removed them and that seems to have solved issue...thanks
