How do you STOP Opera from being your default browser on an IMac? I don't want it to automatically open when I turn my computer on.

Did you actually close it? Closing the window isn't the same as closing (exiting) the program.

Exiting the program would be done from the menu, or via a shortcut.

I am not a Mac user, but as a forum moderator I have seen a number of posts about how Opera is intended to work there. Merely closing a window is the same as closing a tab on other platforms - Opera is still running, only the website that had been displayed is closed. The Linux shortcut would be Ctrl-X and the Mac shortcut is probably similar (maybe Cmd-X), though looking at the File menu while the window is still open should show you - the option Exit should be listed and in Mac tradition tell you it's shortcut.

@sgunhouse I have used the command Q ... which is what comes up on the dropdown when you click on the Opera toolbar ... but then everytime I turn on my computer the Opera browser window pops open ... hopefully I can find a way to make that stop ... and Opera is NOT my default browser ...

Not a Mac user myself so I don't know if this can be done, but maybe Opera was included in some list of programs to be started automatically?
