whenever I select a word, it gets copied automatically. I thought, maybe, some extension to it but this behavior also exists on incognito mode.

At least in Opera for Windows there isn't such feature.

In Linux, highlighted text in any application is automatically available for the middle-click paste feature in any other app. But that is not "Copy on select" - usually. One exception I know of is an option in KDE's Klipper clipboard manager that automatically merges this with the real desktop clipboard (so that conversely you can use the clipboard text in apps that don't support the real clipboard).

So ... you wouldn't have this option enabled in Klipper, would you?

It is a feature of linux in general, regardless of distro, desktop enviroment and application. What you select is automatically copied to the clipboard (on a different clipboard than the one used for ctrl+c/ctrl+v) and can be pasted by middle clicking.

@sgunhouse thanks. There is a Ignore selection option in configure Clipboard. Finally, I have a clean clipboard history 🙂
