is this a bug/omission to not put the cursor in the address bad or someone decided to remove the cursor from the address bar?? vs 55.0.2994.56 is bad, vs 55.0.2994.44 is good which has the cursor in the address bar as it should

@flic You mean, opening new tab with mouse (icon "+" on the right side of the tab) or ctrl+t?

Opera 55.0.2994.56: When clicking on the new tab button the address field has no focus. I tested this on several distributions. Focus is only set when I open a new tab with Ctrl+T.
This seems to be a bug, it was fine with previous versions.

Installed what? The build with the fix wasn't release yet as far as I know.

@leocg Where the topic moved? The topic has an arrow and if i hover the cursor above it (without clicking), it says "moved." Why and where?

It has been moved from the "Opera for Windows"-forum to the "Opera for computers"-forum, probably because not only Windows is affected, but also other desktop operating systems.

OK, the topic is getting longer and the Opera team still has not provided a solution ...

It's already said that the problem should be fixed in the next stable build.

Whenever I opened a new tab, I could immediately find a page, now after opening the card I have to press the search bar specifically. Can I change it back?

Since i've had Opera, I could start typing whenever I opened a new tab, without the need of having to click on the search bar, but since a few days ago, when i open a new tab, i'm forced to click on the search bar in order to start typing, and it's really annoying 😕.
I think i accidentally activate this with a keyboard shortcut (?) but I can't figure out which one.

                                            Thanks in advice
