Try the steps at https://forums.opera.com/topic/23068/instructions-on-posting-about-problems-in-opera-for-computers
It seems to be working fine here.

I confirm the observation made by @panosv. Contrary to all previous builds you cannot write to the address bar with the latest build 55.0.2994.56 when opening a new tab by mouse. However if you open a new tab using Ctrl+t, the address bar is active and you can write there instantly.
Obvious bug.

@panosv said in Opening new tab with mouse, it's not select the address bar automatically for typing:
@leocg One of the big problem with Opera, is that if choose "Reset flags to default", it delete all extensions. Why?
And not work, with above. What do you mean "It seems to be working fine here." Where? And with Mozilla or Chrome, working fine.EDIT: I mean "Reset settings to default" not "Reset flags to default". It'a big problem.

Hi. I recently reinstalled my Windows and I installed Opera again, but this time I've noticed that whenever I open a new tab it doesn't automatically set me to type on the link at the new tab, but instead I have to manually click the mouse there in order to start typing. I find that extremely annoying. Can anyone tell me how to fix this?

yesterday I update my Opera to version 55.0.2994.56 and when I open new tab it doesn't automatically highlight in the address bar, so when I open new tab I need 3 step to browsing
- open new tab
- click the address bar
- type url and enter
in the previous opera version when I opened a new tab I could immediately type the url because the cursor goes directly to the address bar, if this is a bug please fix it, thank you

Yes - this little bug is surprisingly annoying if you are used to the address bar having focus - you type something in, but when you check there's nothing there.

is this a bug/omission to not put the cursor in the address bad or someone decided to remove the cursor from the address bar?? vs 55.0.2994.56 is bad, vs 55.0.2994.44 is good which has the cursor in the address bar as it should
