This will reduce the number of manual operations when clicking on a link from the text field.

Hold Shift (for new window) or Ctrl (for new tab) while clicking on Go to web address. No need for the extra menu items.

Before writing your post, try to do this from the TEXT FIELD of the browser

In this case, do it from the preview (on the right). But if you're worried you mistyped it, you should be pasting it to begin with.

Of all the answers, I realized one thing - this will not be done.
              Thanks.

We are just users discussing it, no one here works for Opera and has any decision power.

@7lexus And Why would someone need to do it?

Why just talk about something if no one else does anything? It's strange, is not it?

There is nothing strange. We are in a forum, what is a place for discussions and talk about your suggestion is an opportunity for you to 'sell' it, to show that it may be useful for the users and for Opera.

Hello @7lexus, I don't know if you may have overlooked it, so this hint:

Opera's @tina wrote in your thread in the Russian subforum that she will forward your suggestion to the developer team.

So the usefulness of your proposal seems to be acknowledged by Opera staff.

@yanta I don't think that saying that a suggestion will be considered and evaluated necessarily means that it was considered useful. They evaluate all of them.

I derived my assumption from the fact that there was an official reaction to this feature request at all which I understood as being some sort of affirmative... I am sorry if I was wrong.

If you right-click a link, you have "Copy link address" available in the context menu. That puts the link address into the clipboard, and from there you can paste it wherever you choose.

@concretable He's trying to use it inside a text area (like the left pane where you enter a reply here), not your regular page. As such, the link itself is just text, but doesn't have "Go to web address" in its context menu - it has the various editing and spellcheck options instead.
