Every time I try to download some zip files, every other zip file shows up with a virus detected warning.

I've tried downloading a Minecraft texture pack, but every (and I mean every) download I've found supposedly has a virus in it, and Opera won't let me download it. How can I bypass this built in Antivirus?

For the record, I have zero antivirus installed, and this is a brand new computer I got earlier today.

Opera has no antivirus built-in, but it does check with a search engine for known malware links. Could be that your own antivirus is sending the message, or one on the network (if you're on some business or school network which scans downloads).

@sgunhouse As stated in the last part of my question, this is a new computer with no antivirus installed. Windows Defender is disabled.

@big-daddy What OS are you using? Also, do the same zip files download using another browser? Assuming that you're running Windows 10 on a new computer and you haven't changed the Internet options, the default Win10 option is to block the downloading of all "unsafe" executable files by any browser (such as .exe files, etc - including zip files containing such file types). To unblock this in Windows, Search for Internet Options and click on: "Security" - "Custom level..." - scroll down to "Downloads" - enable "File download" - OK - OK.
