Opera v 49 on Mac OS Sierra will not play any embedded videos

Before I give up completely on Opera, and stick to Chrome and Safari, can anyone tell me if there is a solution to this problem? Searching on Google, it seems like many or most people have the same problem, but no solutions are apparent. Thank you.

Can you tell us why you're asking about 49? Opera 50 is already out.

I always automatically update, and 49 is the last version they gave me...

@sgunhouse Well, I have v52, just updated ten minutes ago, and the sites still give the same error message, and tells me to use a different browser. Says this doesn't support HLS...
