        @shajeevan

        Facebook &Twitter have lottsa images and stuff.. Opera has two flags to improve performance..

        • Number of Raster Threads - This is set to “Default” but you have
          the ability to set it to maximum. It improves the image loading
          time, so this should be pretty helpful for people who visit
          webpages with lots of images.

        • Experimental Canvas Features - As the name suggests, this flag
          is experimental but if you want your browser to be speedy, then
          you may as well try it. This flag enables “opaque canvases”
          which requires less compositing, making the page loading time
          and performance a lot better..

          All flags are experiments.

            Same issue here. And if I may add : not only slow, scrolling hangs up after a while. My remedy right now is closing browser, killing all opera instances in task manager and empty cache, then restart.

                      Try disabling hardware acceleration.

                          @rudrick leo right..
                          Uncheck Use hardware acceleration when available under the System heading and Opera won’t use the capacity of your graphics card for loading content faster..

                            ^^^^ Enabling Canvas flags might expose your privacy...

                              If you want to disable images in Opera to save the bandwidth, the steps are very easy and simple.

                              Click the Opera menu button > click “Settings” > click “Website” > find “Images” section > choose “Do not show any images”. LoL

                              Canvas Try this in your shortcut Opera target : --disable-reading-from-canvas Then go here to test : https://browserleaks.com/canvas
