Has anyone been able to get Google back to normal on their browser, or are we just going to have to wait until Opera fixes this themselves?
How about waiting for Google to fix this since the problem is on their website not Opera's. -

I can't follow the question here.
google search result changed display to mobile ver because search button and quick search bar auto add client=opera and sourceid=opera to search url.
Reason maybe google mistake this url is from mobile browser. And without there variables google search engine recognize opera as safari -

Any solution for this annoying problem? It takes a lot of time to search for images with this old google interface. Please correct this error as soon as possible. Thanks a lot in advance.

Where exactly is this link? I can't seem to find it. And how exactly do you clear google-specific cookies? -

A thought: First try this. Go to Settings, Privacy and Security, and click on "All Cookies and Site data." See if you have google specific cookies there, highlight them one by one, and try deleting them. My guess is that it's done by clicking on the X all the way to the right for the highlighted item.
Alternatively you could clean all your cookies. A housecleaning. Lol. Surely the Google ones must be there. See if that makes a difference. I've never tried eliminating specific cookies before, but when I look at the Privacy and Security menu, it seems you can do that.

Hi there, having the exact same problem and already suspecting the user agent recognition from Google server. I dont know which end that contribute to this error, whether it's Opera or Google. I'm pretty much enjoyed using Opera Next, so NO, i wont change my browser to anything else.
The addons solve the problem, but, truthfully, i'm hoping that this bug fixed soon,,
My regards to Vendimia,

To put an end to speculations:
Google started sniffing for the new Opera user agent string (OPR)
Some guys from Opera already contacted them and are trying to persuade them to revert this nonsense.
