[Solved]Opera does not play videos (not flash, I think html5) like on twitter or many other pages

Interesting, Steve.
A couple of sites say the same with browsers equipped with blockers.
Sniffing at such blockers started recently on a few video services. On some, disabling (for the page), loading the element then enabling back again helps. On others, sniffing persists.
Disabling the blocker altogether endangers the computer, let alone overloading CPU.When no disabling, I noticed the extensions poised to help download media will still locate the file(s) and will eventually download them if needed. I have a simple guy in tuxedo in Opera, and more than one exts in Firefox. Third browser I use does play those videos not having any exts or blockers.

Try disabling the ad-blocker on that page and see if it helps.
It does not help, even in private mode, when all plugins should be disabled, it doesn't work.

I moved "%appdata%\Opera Software" and also installed opera beta, same problem...!?!
Why doesn't it work? The message is:
The media could not be played.
Here are some system information:

I have the same issue too.
I am using Opera on Windows XP, Opera 36.0.2130.80.Twitter has n't been working me for a long time.
VLC media player is listed as on the plug-in. Tried turning it on and off....

where can we find the codec? (didn't find anything on google for installation)
I think on my system it doesn't work because I have Win 7 64 Bit N (N = no Windows Media Player)

Try installing the media pack, it may help.

Opera can only play h264 if your OS can do it natively so installing the codec probably will not help.
