What is the difference between two Opera Mini:
"Android": https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.opera.mini.android
"Native": https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.opera.mini.native
They provide the same functionality and interface! -

@d-wa, can you please describe in what situations file can download incorrectly? That should not happen I think.
@anders6, com.opera.mini.android is an update to old version of Opera Mini and it's meant for people who have used old version for ages. Please install com.opera.mini.native.

@cubot - tried Arc Welder but it says it requires Chrome OS (which I do not have).
@mbaluta - thanks for the recommendation. I tend to prefer VMs over emulators due to past experience and trying to replicate as closely as possible what a user using the actual device would see. Won't rule it out though. Great tip about Opera 12.16. I've installed it and already noted one thing I need to fix on our site!

This is kind of a generic topic so asking for something to be implemented in Opera Mini is not exactly out of topic although it would fit better in Suggestions Box.

Seriously it takes too long time to start streaming.
Loading..Loading..Loading..Loading..Loading.. & .. Loading
But after loaded the video. Then it works so well. So fast.. Yes, amazingly fast BUT
Problem goes on when I clicked 'Play' button Everytime it starts slow loading and loading & at this Loading stage if I press back button then Opera Mini hangs my device & crashed always.Moreover, Opera Mini can't play (mpg) formats video for streaming.

How can one check on server if Opera Mini is running in saving mode? I don't see Opera Mini in User Agent string anymore, even in extreme saving mode. And HTTP_X_REQUESTED_WITH is always the same - com.opera.mini.native.
We have problem with Opera Mini, it fails to execute any Javascript on the page after "Uncaught SecurityError: Blocked a frame with origin "http://origin" from accessing a cross-origin frame.", when other browsers do not have such error. Moreover without saving mode Opera Mini works just fine without such error.

Now Opera Mini Can't able to download any file from mediafire.com website. Some days ago Opera Mini can. But now can't. Always has redirecting problem to the same page.
N.B- Problem goes on Extreme & High saving mode. When Data saving off mode is selected it works.
Fix this ASAP -

The mediafire problem & that single column view problem is no more after I do browser restart. And it clears one thing that How unstable the browser is !!!
I've got another problem & it can solved by restart.
can't able to bypass this with single column view off

can't able to 'skip ad' when single column view is off. Fix this ASAP -

Still it takes too much time to enter facebook after browser restart. The first loading takes too long time.
Why Opera Mini's first loading (first connection setup) is too slow ????
If I try to stream/play any video then the first loading takes so long time.
Also, When I try to download any file, Opera Mini can't able to start download instantly. It takes damn long time to start download. But if I pause & resume then it can pause & resume instantly.
Facebook is a issue. After adding 'Facebook Optimization' feature. Then it takes more time to successfully enter Facebook.
Is there has any problem on Opera Mini server? Is the Access Time/Ping Rate is too high? Why Opera Mini has slow connection setup problem?

I'm so getting increasingly frustrated by OperaMini especially in when Data savings is activated. Like its not worth it anymore. Everything seems to broken.
Streaming takes ages.
Downloading a file more than 3MB takes ages to start. It often outputs "Invalid Link". In contrast, UCMini starts downloading the same file immediately.
Pages broken, that is, Incomplete page rendering of pcworld.com, black bands on articles in theverge.com, broken engadget.com...just to name a few.
No way to clear Download History without deleting the file on Storage.
My sense of loyalty is waning.

Very Speedy. Does not work on the Transport for London Journey Planner, usually referred to as TFL Journey Plannner, so mostly useless to many people living in London UK. At least does no work on my Samsung Galaxy Fame. Other browsers access it fine.

Opera Mini devs are used to say that there's no way to accelerate the download speed. If ISP provide well speed then only you can get well speed.
Many days ago, I've a feature request named "Multiple Threaded Connection" for each individual downloading file. I know this can't able to increase the speed beyond my ISP provide but it surely can help to fully utilize the bandwidth to download files. And as of now, most of the web server supports web throttling/acceleration feature. So, it would be better if the deves add this feature.
But from Opera Quality QA team. They deny. They argue with me that it wont help. I don't even know why??? !!!!
Moreover, I also said that Opera Mini servers are too poor to handle the downloading stuffs.
We can see a clear winner if we look & test both Opera Mini & UC Browser. In file downloading speed or downloading management UC always wins over Opera Mini.
