Iimprove add blocker, it is not good, I get pop ups all the time.

add "translate with google translate" menu next to "search" and "copy", when you select text online, so that you can translate selected text with one click (it should open google translate in new tab with text automatically copied and pasted so that can be translated), if possible in settings you should be able to choose output language for translation.

Add drop down "recently closed tabs" and "recently closed windows" (lets say 10 of each), when right clicked on any tab. So that you could access any with only one click, without hassle of going through history from menu.

Add "are you sure you want to exit Opera" when closing Opera, because sometimes I have many tabs opened and I get pop up in new window, I instantly go to close it and just before i click on "x", add blocker kills it. (it all happens in 1-2 seconds) Because of that I actually click on "x" on Opera main window and I accidentally close window with all tabs by that one click. This happens often and it is very annoying.

Ad-blocker and pop-up blocker are different things.

Depending on how the pop-up is triggered, it may not be that easy to avoid.

Since Opera Presto moved to Chromium Blink, "everything" needs an extension or UserScript / Style, so..

From Opera AddOns install: Download Chrome Extension, Then Poper Blocker on Chrome Store

On the top right, near minimize or under close button... Click! (Not as Presto, but...)

There were an extension for chrome and a workaround but they not work anymore, even in chrome.

Just found a working way to prevent Opera from close by mistake: Tab Modifier

Just create a rule with one of the common tabs or even better with one of the pinned tabs, tested and works.
