In the latest 37.2 release, we’ve added the following features:

      • an app layout switcher: in Settings > Browser, you now find an “App layout” option, allowing you to choose between phone and tablet layout, on any kind of device. Note that, for now, the browser will restart when you switch, but we’re working on fixing that as well.
      • a news country selector: available in Settings > News, the country switcher allows you to pick your country and language of choice for the news that is shown on the home page.
      • a download location picker: when you download a file, you can now choose where on your phone you want to save it to.

This is available to all beta channel users, and to a selection of stable channel users.

        Opera beta 37.2.2192.108734

        Looking good and running stable.

I can't find that 'news country selector', but would rather switch off the entire newsfeed completely.

        Download destination management is excellent.

Needs language selector, and maybe cookie management. Panopticlick reports vulnerability to supercookie tracking even with cookies switched off.

Looking ahead to the next beta release <smiling>

using tablet mode on my mobile phone.
i don't know, somehow i gotta stick with this layout mode for awhile. love it.
ummm......after switching to other tabs, and returned back to previous tab, in this case, facebook, it didn't reload automatically.
which is, nice i think. i can continue what i have left.

            Post cut to parts:
            1/2
Thanks for the update. I have a question, why can't I see the logo of these sites on my SD while they are perfectly being shown in the suggestions? Screenshots follow.

The forum considers underlines as a formatting character, see the Markdown link below the reply box.

@sgunhouse Thank you for the explanation and all of your help! What was the trick for the post with the photo previews, was it the underline thing?

Also feel free to delete the unnecessary stuff (the posts without the urls and those with url only)

You can find a country switcher and an option to turn off the news feed completely in the Settings > News section.

You can remove them by long-pressing them and dragging them to the trash. They won't appear again.

The trick for image links is just to combine the markdown code for images and links - put the image code inside the brackets where the link text would go. Click the quote button on your old post to see the code - if I tried the post it the forum would try to interpret it, but quote will copy the code into the comment box so you can read it.

Sadly, they appear again and again after some days... This week 2 times.

Unfortunately it shows only the text and no code, I'll try following your advice the next time.

Thanks leo, already done that before (check https://forums.opera.com/post/107730) 🙂 I don't know what happened this time, the preview was showing the images just fine like in the above link, then by pressing post I got the message "flagged for moderation". I assume something was wrong with the underlines as sgunhouse explained, I guess we 'll see next time 😛
