v40- Does Downloads store a full copy,or just location?

1. Is it a good idea to empty/delete... Downloads periodically..., to improve startup time...?
2. Does Opera save a full copy, or just download location?
3. If I try to delete old downloads (in a desktop Folder), that are still in Opera Downloads, Win7 won't allow it.

1. I don't think it would make that much difference.

2. The list of downloaded files is just a list. The real files are on their folders
   If you clear the list, your files will still be there.

3. No problem here on Windows 10.
