Want to know if a phone can run Opera Mini

I am looking to purchase a mobile phone that is button-operated, as opposed to just touchscreen-operated. Unfortunately these phones tend to be rather skimpy, so I want to be careful and make sure that it can run Opera Mini. I presume that if a phone can run Opera Mini there must be some way to download the Opera Mini installation file and then transfer it to the phone (I will use an SD card to get it from my notebook to the phone.) The main reason I want to be able to run Opera Mini is to be able to read PDF files, which I understand is possible in Opera Mini.
So, is there any list of such phones that are Opera Mini compatible?

I don't think Mini can do it.

To get the most recent version of Mini you will need a phone with Android. For other phones you should be able to go to http://m.opera.com/ using the phone's own web browser and get Mini if the phone can use it.

I am looking at the Samsung GT-S5611, which seems to have what I am looking for. This review website says that Opera Mini is available for it.
There are websites that can be accessed by "gsmarena" or "mobilesmspk" & this model (it seems that putting in a weblink gets the message censored.)
(Select Sorting to Most Downloads at the "mobilesmspk")
I am wondering about the logistics of loading this onto the device. I doesn't seem to come with WIFI capability, and my SIM will only be for telephone calls.
There is a website that says that Opera Mini can display a PDF at "wapreview"

You can have a look at the list of supported platforms here: http://www.opera.com/mobile/download/versions/
I think that any phone supporting J2ME should run Opera Mini, but if you want to be 100% sure, just head to Google, search for "phone model opera mini" and check if there isn't too many reports about problems with running it (be prepared there will always be some reports, there are always some people who have problems). I also recommend that you choose a phone with high resolution screen - it is easier to browse the web.
Unfortunately Opera Mini does not show PDF files itself. You can either download PDF file and use some other Java app to view the file, or use some online service like http://view.samurajdata.se which converts PDF to images and you will be able to see it in Opera Mini.
To install Opera Mini you just need to open built-in WAP browser and open http://m.opera.com, follow the links and it should download without any problems.

OK, I have purchased this Samsung GT-S5611, and Opera Mini is already installed on it, and it seems to work decently. I will now try the recommendation from that wapreview website on how to read a PDF.
