What software to use for making periodic profile backups?
And which directories do not need to be backed up?
Cache I guess is one, what else? -

You will find the location of your Opera profile in the About Opera section of the Opera menu. You can backup that folder using any backup software that can backup a directory or you can simple copy it in Windows and paste it somewhere safe.

Yeah I know that, I am asking what specific software people actually use for this.
And what folders should be skipped when performing backups, since backing up all sorts of cached media data takes huge amounts of space and completely meaningless.

Cache is stored in a different place. Backing up the whole profile folder is the best thing to do.

Thats like asking people what kind of beer they like to drink. You will get many answers and all of them will work. Everything from Windows Backup to Dropbox will get the job done.

You will download the backup restore lite.
I have been using this great backup program for some time for backing up everything from my Firefox browser to Slimjet, to Chrome to Opera and Thunderbird e mail also. It works great for backing up and then restoring from the backup.

He is probably talking about Opera Sync feature, which isn't exactly what you are looking for.
