Download Hekasoft Backup from the link they provide. I pulled the link from my post here as they do not want that link shared.

You will download the backup restore lite.

I have been using this great backup program for some time for backing up everything from my Firefox browser to Slimjet, to Chrome to Opera and Thunderbird e mail also. It works great for backing up and then restoring from the backup.

Yeah I know that, I am asking what specific software people actually use for this.

Thats like asking people what kind of beer they like to drink. You will get many answers and all of them will work. Everything from Windows Backup to Dropbox will get the job done.

I usually just copy the folder to another place

And what folders should be skipped when performing backups, since backing up all sorts of cached media data takes huge amounts of space and completely meaningless.

Cache is stored in a different place. Backing up the whole profile folder is the best thing to do.

You can backup that folder using any backup software that can backup a directory or you can simple copy it in Windows and paste it somewhere safe.
