Does that mean...NO Speed Dial Sync from user/1 to user/2 or Guest etc when the Extension is installed on each?
I run Admin (supa user) & NON Admin users with my browser.
Opera wont sync my NON admin user dials to my Admin user.
It's tedious copying ALL of them from one user to another !

Just noticed..Opera has integrated Speed Dial with the browser. It's not a separate extension. So we are dependant on Opera for an upgrade !

It means that things will remain as they are today: users will have access to other speed dials but there will not be a "full"sync.

If "Full Sync" means all sync devices will have the same Speed Dial, that would be OK.

Perhaps a better suggestion would be all sync devices being able to specify which of the other Speed Dials to now use as default on each device from now on ...

Or an option to clone another device's Speed Dial onto another device's Speed Dial ...

I have logged a bug on this issue. Can't be that hard to fix, come on Opera! It's not like you have a lot of other things to do when you don't have your own render engine anymore. In the meantime I have manually moved all my speed dials to Google Chrome.

This is not a bug. It was designed to work the way.

                  A suggested enhancement then ...

It's not designed to work that way according to the docs I linked:

"Opera synchronizes bookmarks, open tabs, Speed Dial shortcuts and more from all of your devices. It merges bookmarks from each device you sign in with, remembers which tabs you have open on each device, and lets you access the Speed Dial start pages of your devices, anywhere".

Exactly the way it works currently. You ca access SD from other installations by going to Bookmarks > Other Speed Dials.

Can someone then explain why www.opera.com/help/account#signin it SPECIFICALLY say SPEED DIAL SYNC : YES ???

Read the fine print mate. It specifically says it "lets you access the Speed Dial start pages of your devices" which is exactly what it currently does. You CAN access your speed dials on other devices but it doesn't treat all of your speed dials as one.

Well, if one can access speed dial data from other installation/device and that data is changed according to what is done with it, then the data is synced.

Other Speed Dials. Ok I didn't even see that before or realize something was hidden in the folder with the computer name there. Sooo close then! - They just have to move this to the actual Speed Dial.

It's so easy. Just access other speed dials from the bookmark menu, copy, and then go to your main speed dial, still in Bookmarks menu. Paste. Then enjoy your Speed Dial menu.

However, this is not a synchronization. This is copy-paste.

You already got answers but I feel like I have to say: Moving speed dial shorcuts into bookmarks is the dumbest work of Opera employers have ever done.

This was the most helpful, I wish it could be placed at the top of this page:
