For the "run" behavior: Why should I care where are files downloaded if I just need to view them?
Disk space and privacy, for example.
Important thing is they are stored somewhere where they will be deleted so I dont need to worry about it any more.
That's the point, you don't know if they will be deleted nor when they will be deleted.
With Opera Prestro i used to find very old files in its temp download folder. In fact the files used to stay there until i delete them.
Even on Windows' temp folder sometimes i find some old files.
Being interupted with downloaded file is advantage because you know your file is ready.
Not for me, and for sure not hours later when you probably have already forget about the file.

No problem. Just dont answer questions I didnt aks. Just simple "no, its not possible" or "yes, you can do it like this...". I dont want to know about different alternatives because its not what I was asking for. Also I dont want to know about "super" features that new opera have because I dont care and because its garbage features.
How about you being polite to people for taking the time to respond to you, even if they give you extra information you don't want? The tone in your posts is still sounding rude imo.

If you want to know useless informations its not my problem but yours. Question >>> Answer... everything not related is useless. Im polite I just said that complaining about old Opera for lots of integrated features and then celebrate new Opera for same reason is dumb.
But dont worry I will not be here too long. I almost finished Firefox transformation to Operas look and features (presto Opera of course). Tabs stacking is the final feature I need (and some minor stuff that is not so important) and it will be done. Anyway developers are not willing to implement some features so new Opera is not interesting to me.

How can you open file before you download it? What a waste of time with downloading and why do we need high speed internet if you can just open files without downloading...>
I didn't quite say it right. If you run/execute a file before you've given your virus and/or malware program a chance to check it, you may well be more likely to get an infection.
Oh come on - hitting Run or Open doesn't mean that file is not downloaded and scanned before it is executed. It is just very convenient option to have - one less mouse click to run and one less file to remove afterwards.
In older Operas it was especially good because I could configure Opera to open file with non-default application - for example if I have both PDF editor and viewer installed, then I usually want to open PDF in editor from windows, but in separate viewer from browser (and no, PDF plug-ins do not qualify at all for me). Just by clicking, not using some fancy tricks.

+1 for an optional download dialog that also shows the filesize of a download.

There are those who believe that saving the file first (not running it) has two benefits -- (1) you select where it's saved on your computer (easier then to dispose of/handle in the future), as opposed to having to deal with where the temporary file is, and how long it stays on your computer, and (2) it adds an extra layer of security, including the ability for the user to easily run a pinpoint virus scan on the file to see if it's clean and safe.
See https://helpdesk.its.uiowa.edu/articles/runsave.htm
And the link I previously provided.

If you're certain these sources are wrong as to what they recommend, so be it. It's for the user to make his/her own decision.
