Opera TV store- is it specific to TV models

I bought a Sony Bravia TV KDL 40R510C and I am not able to see some apps in the Opera TV store e.g. YuppTV, Facebook, BBC etc while I can see a host of others. Sony support tells me that the apps you can see ona TV are model specific and I can't see these apps. It is a 2015 model so I do not need to register on sony essentials or anywhere. I am not sure if the Opera TV store is model specific. Can someone please throw some light on this? How can a software be TV model specific?

Dear user,
yes, the array of available apps is different on different devices. The devices differ in hardware and software, and so not all apps work on all devices.
The apps that you have mentioned were not yet tested for the model.
They should be available soon, however I cannot give you any timetable for that, due to the unpredictable nature of how apps behave on various devices.

Hi, I have an Sony TV KDL-48R553CBU which also is a 2015 model TV but Ples is not showing up in the list... is this one in your testing schedule also?

if you mean Plex application, currently it does not work on none of Sony 2015 models.

Currently we cannot say when the app will be published.
We've already informed CSP about fact that it does not work on Sony Bravias TVs 2015.

I recently bought a Sony Bravia TV model No. KDL-48W650D I am unable to get a web broweser and the opera store is only currently showing games, there are no other apps from the opera store. It is very frustrating as I have this TV almost a month now and cannot do anything with it except go to youtube. Can someone please help me to get this sorted out as soon as possible?

I have a brand new Samsung BlueRay player (Samsung BDJ5900), and it currently does not display the HBO app in Opera Store. Is this a model specific issue as well? If so, will it appear any time soon?
