It never appears, even whilst downloading a file.

Hmmm ... it's there on my "All users" installation. Does the file actually get saved, or is the Downloads folder set to some non-existent location.

Everything works fine, except the icon is not showing up, no pup-ups with the progress bar. The destination folder is in place.

Uninstall Opera Completely with "Advanced Uninstaller PRO" and restart PC and Install New Version of Opera .

If you run it on clear profile (check profile location in Menu - About, close Opera, rename profile folder, reopen Opera) - does it show icon?

It shows up now after updates. But only while downloads are in progress. Then it dissappears again until the next download. Hopefully it will be fixed.
