If "leave messages on server" was unchecked, then your messages were removed from the server just after they have been downloaded.

Did you had "remove from server after emptying trash (or something like that)" enabled? It could explain what happened.

I think you will need a backup to recover your mail.

Often Opera email adds empty titles to RSS Feeds. Today it added over 50 of them. I just delete and all is ok but it is a bit odd.

Also randomly I lose the setting for my email account such as HTML is changed to text only and signature is changed to the signature line that came with Opera Mail. If I choose another account and go back to previous email account all is well. It would be nice if this was fixed.

        Any suggestions Opera?

Opera 12 and Opera Mail have some problems with RSS feeds.

          Which feed URL dont work?

All RSS feeds work fine. Opera Mail just adds a bunch of empty rows that are easily deleted.

Another issue today. Opera Mail wont send an email with a 300 mb attachment. Is this normal?

            It's a 2 minute MOV file.

Some email services will not accept large files. I don't think Opera has a size limit of its own ... but I've never tried one that large.

I don't think many email services will allow you to send an attachment with that size. As an example, Gmail allows 'only"25MB as a maximum file size.

My email service limits it to 20MB.

Opera Email is still adding empty rows when I first boot up the PC.

I think I found out why Opera Mail sometimes is OK and other times removes my signature and HTML select.

If I've highlighted anything in the left column that is for email, all is well.

If I happen to have an RSS feed highlited and select Compose, then I get no signature or HTML.

Not that I know I can just make sure that something in the email column is highlited and not in the RSS feed section.

I am using Opera mail, the unofficial usb version. It works great, so much faster than anything else!

My only issue is that it doesn't put sent mails into the sent folder on the server. So when I check webmail or another imap client, the email isn't there. Our email server doesn't automatically do this (it's ipswitch imail 12.x). Does anyone have a workaround for this?

Ask the sender to not configure its messages as a mailing list.

Strangely, when I hide the "Mailing lists" section it stays hidden. Individual lists appear as messages are posted to them (if the section itself is shown), but if I hide the section it stays that way.
