Will it be meaningful to move this thread to the Forum Feedback?

      Thanks.

Now primarily, this thread'll be about the already implemented MyOpera smilies - their functioning, suggestions, some such.🙂

I reported it broken on October 24th.
I've not been aware of it working since then.

Strange, why are there smilies on the palette that don't work. That <_< was supposed to be :left:

Well, since this thread's moved to the feedback now, we can easily pile it all up here, can't we?

So, maybe not here, but I, dear Steve, has already reported about those :right: and :left:.
However, as this thread has now successfully acquired its proper place, let's deal with it here. And I'd suggest we do it thoroughly - like all the smilies pertaining issues sorted by their importance.

First of all, it's two issues.
The first (and maybe at least the most prominent - or apparent, o'k) is about what you just noticed: three smilies are "out of business" now - :left:, :right:, and ❤.
The next issue has been reported by Dave Hawley: the smilies panel doesn't work when editing.

Then there is (will be, of course) a minor issue: the "smilieboard" there looks messy - they'd better be repositioned by relevance/category/mood/whatnot - not like now. But it's a matter of comfiness more than a crucial one, so...

              🙂

                  1. "Smilies".
                  2. It's off topic.
                  3. It's not possible.

How long shall it take to edit the codenames for three smilies?

Steve, my guess is the use of reserved characters.
Markdown might hold something against it.

My sheer idea is - why not just keep the codes as they were on MyOpera? Exactly as you mentioned, Steve, - a word within colons.
