I reported it broken on October 24th.
I've not been aware of it working since then.

However, as this thread has now successfully acquired its proper place, let's deal with it here. And I'd suggest we do it thoroughly - like all the smilies pertaining issues sorted by their importance.First of all, it's two issues.
The first (and maybe at least the most prominent - or apparent, o'k) is about what you just noticed: three smilies are "out of business" now - :left:, :right:, and .
The next issue has been reported by Dave Hawley: the smilies panel doesn't work when editing.Then there is (will be, of course) a minor issue: the "smilieboard" there looks messy - they'd better be repositioned by relevance/category/mood/whatnot - not like now. But it's a matter of comfiness more than a crucial one, so...

Steve, my guess is the use of reserved characters.
Markdown might hold something against it.My sheer idea is - why not just keep the codes as they were on MyOpera? Exactly as you mentioned, Steve, - a word within colons.
