There is an icon just below the Close button that looks like a couple of bars and a down arrow; click it and you'll see a a menu with a list of "Recently closed windows" ... on some versions you may have to click to expand that list. The menu also includes your currently open tabs.

This is just change for the sake of change, I liked having the recently closed tabs options in the upper left menu, along with my list of bookmarks. Please change it back.

For those wondering you can also use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+Shift+T.
I liked having the recently closed tabs options in the upper left menu
Its still there.

If you meant to say that Youtube video's currently don't play for you in the current version, then yah; it's a known issue. Fortunately ozgur825 found a solution.

No it's not. It's now located next to the minimize icon at the top right of the browser, which is much less fluid to use.

The three bars and the down arrow, next to the minimize button on the upper right of the browser in my Opera 29/Windows 7 shows the currently open tabs. I don't see a way to see the closed tabs there. The only way I can see the closed tab is to click on the menu on the upper left of the browser, and then click on recent tabs.

Yep, closed tabs moved to the tab menu in Opera 30.

Where's the Option to hide the "tab menu" button? Please put it back.

If the closed tabs moved to the tab menu button, they ought to make the icon/button a trash basket as in Opera Presto. That made it obvious -- what it was for. And nothing wrong with recapturing a Presto feature people generally liked.

And what about the rest? The tab menu is not only about closed tabs.

Hi @r0b0tr0n, go to
opera:flags#tab-menu-with-recent-tabs
, select "Disabled" from the drop-down, and restart the OperaIn case, that you change your mind in later time, you can enable it in Settings > User interface > Enable tab menu, or just re-enable the flag.

Moving the location of the "recently closed tabs" menu/function just seems unnecessary and spiteful. I, and likely all of us, already were pre-programed to know to look for it in the regular Opera menu only to find it missing and had to go hunting for it again. Now I have to re-train myself to know where to go for it. Why just up and change something like that?

No it isn't.
It has been moved back to the 'broken heart' icon on the top right, where it was in a previous release of Opera, before it was moved to the Opera menu. As in the v.29 version.
