Get rid of the semi-transparent bar at the bottom of Opera 27.0.1689.29

Hello,
My Opera must have updated last night so now I have a semi-transparent bar across the bottom with "Speedial, Bookmarks, and Discover". Is there any way to make that go away I find it Apple-y annoying.
Also, is there any way to roll back updates or prevent them from happening? It kinda of knocks me off my tricycle when it changes like that out of the blue.
Thanks in advance,
Jeff -

Search in opera:flags for navigation bar. There is no way to prevent the updates.

Thanks for getting back to me. I did the search you mentioned and read a lot of stuff, followed some links, even tried the "experimental" start page. Still have the band across the bottom.
Open for any other suggestions, just want to use Opera to search the web. Don't need to be amazed and amused every time I use it. Just want to gather information from the internet. Just not a "bells and whistles" for the sake of "bells and whistles" kind of guy.
Thanks again,
Jeff -

Just open Opera:flags and top left there is a search window and just copy and paste this WebUI navigation bar then when the box opens click disable.

BUMP, New Opera 29 and the same problem. Now the "WebUI navigation bar" in Opera:flags is gone. Does anyone has an idea how can we get rid of that semi-transparent bar at the bottom of speed dial page??? It's so annoying.

So it looks like the time has finally came to jump the ship and swim to Chrome.
