If this is an extension you need to allow it work on private windows.

For safety reasons, extensions are disabled in private mode (namely, depending on what an extension does it may be communicating with a third party server, making private more rather pointless). If you go to (menu) > Extensions, each extension will have a checkbox on whether to allow it to work in private mode.

It is n extension? If so Menu > Extensions > Enable "Allow in private mode" for that extension.

If you are talking about Opera 12 then i gueess that it does not work on private tabs afaik.
