[Duplicated] Clicking on a notification opens a blank window

I would like to report a technical issue that has appeared on the Opera browser after the last two updates.
As a professional journalist, I rely heavily on push notifications from news websites in order to stay constantly informed about current events. However, since the browser was updated, every time I click on a notification, it no longer opens a new tab (as it used to), but instead opens a new standalone window.
Even more importantly, this new window does not automatically redirect to the content of the notification, meaning I cannot immediately access the related article or page. This issue significantly disrupts my workflow and efficiency.
I kindly ask you to investigate this matter and, if possible, to restore the previous functionality — that is, to open a new tab and redirect directly to the notification’s content.
I remain at your disposal for any additional information or troubleshooting you may require.
Best regards,
Stavros Ioakeim -

Stavros IoakeimI'm having the same problem. Resetting everything and clearing my cache didn't help. I hope it gets fixed soon. It's Opera GX for me.

Same here. Click into every received web push notification opens new blank browser window.
You can simple replicated here https://www.bennish.net/web-notifications.htmlThere is captured video for this buggy behavior

@leocg - this is duplicity for what? Where is original topic? Because title of topic is [Duplicated].
Do you have any other information - is work in progress, estimated time for fix ... etc. -

@nkgrzegorzewicz Was it fixed in opera 117.0.5408.197? Or will it be fixed later? Because I still observe the same behaviour. Buttons in notification don't work. It just opens empty tab. Usually if it was timer notification showed up with start timer button, I clicked button, it correctly started timer in extension. Now just emty tab and no effect on extension. Doesn't work for multiple extensions such as pomodoro, timer, some message extensions don't open the message, etc
