We’ve been busy cooking up some serious heat in the Opera Developer test kitchen and are ready to drop a huge payload of new AI features for Aria in Opera GX, as part of our AI Feature Drops program. Please stop shoving AI down our throats.
The Aria Logo now appears in all text bars. I disabled Aria on day one and I would like to keep it out of my life.
I have disabled it in Sidebar options but it is still appearing. How do I get rid of it?

@rafferty3231: Open Aria in the sidebar, go to settings, disable the writing mode shortcut, and Aria won't appear in text boxes any more.

@natcuber: It was bugged unthil the last hotfix. Even if you had it turned off, it still showed in textboxes.
Seems to be fixed in this patch.
On a complete side note, I also subscribe to Rafferty's stance. Why does everything have some sort of AI feature nowadays. This isn't what "gamers" want, nor need. It's bloat, and a free ride to learn about our personal data, tastes, searches, and more. I know developers rarely have a word (except the ones getting a pay bonus for suggesting this to be a feature?) in this but please let the higher ups know we users are getting tired of this.

I use Aria everyday ... more than any other AI. I'm not saying that Aria has always provided the best possible answers, but I trust Opera more than Google or Microsoft.
I'm glad that you are improving Aria, and am looking forward to Aria's expanded capabilities, perhaps I won't need to get a second AI opinion as often in the future.
Danke !!!

Aira is SO over protective. Any tiny thing and it "cannot answer this question"

@wrekogniize: It's powered by ChatGPT and Gemini. AI in general is very overprotective.
