Is there a way to make Opera the default search engine for Windows 11 desktop taskbar?
I'm trying to set the search box on my desktop's taskbar to link to Opera instead of Microsoft Edge. I've made Opera the default for all my search settings but whenever I use the search box on my desktop's taskbar it continues to redirect me to Microsoft Edge's browser.
Does anyone know a way to circumvent this so that it will send me to the Opera browser and not the Microsoft Edge browser?

MSEdgeRedirect worked at one time for this. Not sure about the current status with the current version of Windows 11. https://github.com/rcmaehl/MSEdgeRedirect/issues doesn't look promising. Something to investigate though.

Yes, you can. there is an option in setting for default browser.
Please Go to:
1: setting
2: select apps
3: Default apps
4: tap on opera browser
5: set Opera as your default browser
let me know if you encounter any issue.
