Deleted accounts in forums still valid

Lighthouse812 last edited byIn former times I had various Opera accounts which I have deleted for different reasons.
But whenever I create a new Opera account with a new password etc. and go to forums, I realize that the old deleted account is still there in the forums with the old profile picture and with the old (not the new!) user word.I find this annoying, because I thought, whenever I delete an Opera account, it's also deleted from the forums. But it isn't.

I get what you’re saying, and it’s kind of like when you think you’ve upgraded your base in a game, but the old one is still stuck there. It’s annoying when your old Opera account info keeps showing up in the forums even after deleting it. Just like in games where you want a clean slate when you start over, it’d be great if deleting an account wiped everything, including forum profiles. Hope Opera can fix this soon so we can fully move on!

@sgunhouse Just by deleting the accounts at auth.opera.com succesfully. Anyway, I‘m on this new alias and will keep that.

@Lighthouse812 The forum doesn't normally remove posts as that can make threads hard to follow, though if you ask I can do so. Forum accounts, no idea. Obviously I could ban them, but they must have a procedure to deal with actual requests to remove accounts - it's an EU law.

@leocg I know. But these accounts were only deleted as Opera sync accounts but still exist as forum accounts though.
So if you log in and head to the forum, you‘ll see old user name and profile photo. This is kind of strange.
