@christophe-t I'm going to presume you mean favicons. Favicons are small images the browser gets from the website used to identify the site quickly, such as Opera's red O logo, Emoticons are images used in text to indicate emotion, such as smilies and is a subclass of emoji - any small image used in text for example.
I don't see a setting to control view of favicons on tabs, sorry. Maybe someone else can help.

@alexkrycek Apparently you need to have their fancy tooltips enabled to even see it, as I don't. Some time back I decided I didn't need it showing me the URLs of other tabs from the same domain on tab tooltips, as I never have that many tabs open at a time. Apparently disabling that option must disable this as well.

@sgunhouse What options do you mean with "fancy tooltips"?
I was checking my settings and did some changes but I couldn't disable this awful emojis at all. I appreciate if you advise me what setting I must change.
Thank you! -

@alexkrycek The option to display tabs ftom the same domain in the tooltip. I'm on my mobile now and can'r look up the exact wording, but that's the option I recently changed and so probably why I never saw the emoji except in the blog post.

@likitthakul Huh, I don't get it - literally. I tried changing various settings and it's still not there. Must be a case of they put it in Stable without adding it to Developer (which is the one I use).. Maybe in an upcoming version.

No. In Windows these emojis are present, too! And you can't disable them!

@alexkrycek Not mobile when I posted - Developer. Opera's term for their Alpha version. Sometimes they add features to Stable without having had previous public test builds; this seems to be one of those.
