Opera stops loading websites after a while (WIN 10)

Hi, today I started having a problem where Opera stops loading websites after a while using it and I'm forced to restart to get it working again, but then the problem appears once more after restarting. I already used the "recovery" option but the problem appeared again. I also deactivated the Ublock Origin extension but the problem remains (I've read that some people pointed that extension as an issue, but deactivating it didn't solve the problem for me).
Does anybody know what should I do to fix this?

@ezenofx same here: I will have to abandon Opera although it is my favorite browser since version 7, but I cannot restart my browser every 5 minutes! Vivaldi has had the same issue for over 6 months and they still haven't fixed it!

@didiergerber I just reinstalled Opera and I'm having the same issue again. This is driving me crazy! I don't know what to do. I don't want to stop using Opera

@ezenofx I think I might have a similar problem. When websites stop loading, is the page white and the tab named “Untitled” and when you hover your mouse over the tab, it says “Crashed?”

@ezenofx other strategies I used to deal with the problem that haven’t worked:
- turning off video acceleration
- wiping my browser history
- turning off “snooze inactive tabs to save memory.”
I’m at a loss for what’s happening. The closest solution I could find is play video or audio in 1 tab while clicking around on websites in the other, which server to put off the issue for a long while but that’s not sustainable and sometimes 1 tab still needs my whole undivided attention.

Bug still not fixed: bye bye Opera🥹

@ezenofx I waited a week to be sure but I think I solved the issue of Opera no longer loading websites after a while.
Over a week ago, Opera started freezing really badly, to the point when it got to hanging it could freeze the laptop’s clock and even turn the screen black for minutes at a time. Last Sunday, I uninstalled Opera but this time I didn’t click reinstall. I did that before and that didn’t solve the problem. Be sure not to delete your data when uninstalling.
Once it got uninstalled, I ran the System File Checker scannow in Command Prompt and let it do its work. When I came back, I restarted the computer but it froze and took a while, so I admittedly got impatient and shut it off. I turned the computer back on and then enacted a regular Shutdown and then turned it back on. I downloaded Opera back onto my laptop and the websites not loading problems seems to be gone. Opera still froze and crashed a few times particularly on Tumblr but that’s almost rare now.
I don’t know what steps in that process helped but it worked. My Opera data remaining meant I didn’t lose my bookmarks and extensions, though be warned if you like specific pictures on your bookmarks, you’ll have to put them back in. Probably don’t interrupt your restart but maybe try these steps I did and see if that helps.

@arnydewatcher On my Win11 system, the problem seems much less acute than it still was a few days ago, even though I made no efforts whatsoever. I have not seen a notice about any Opera update, has maybe someone else noticed changes?
