Goto the URL opera://flags/#address-bar-categories-customization, enable the flag, restart Opera, start typing in the address field, click the gear in the address field drop-down and disable the unit conversion and calculator options for example.

Not that you might have to open a new tab or restart Opera to get it to work after that.

Type a g and a space before searching things like that. That will avoid the issue.

It works, of course. But this is not the best solution.
It's just unexplainable why the option to disable the 'advanced' suggestions wasn't implemented and the flag was removed additionally.

I think someone just played with the settings on your computer, but it can be easily fixed.
