Goto the URL
opera://about
, take note of the "profile" path and close Opera. In the profile folder (or the "Default" folder in the profile folder if it's present and you're using Opera 102 or newer), replace the "Bookmarks" and "BookmarksExtras" files with the ones from your old "Opera Software/Opera Stable" folder.Then, if any of the bookmarks are out of place, goto the URL
opera://bookmarks
and move them to where they need to be. -

@leocg And that's the problem, everything was synced, my account worked across all my computers, but nothing is in there. Major nasty fail from Opera.
Even if they had warned us some data might be lost from our accounts we could have screen shot things.
To this end, I wound back to the Opera 99 update (and Opera need to acknowledge this is the only way for those of us who lost bookmarks and passwords, so they do not instantly re-update), of course all my details were there on the log in, I checked I was syncing and I was, screen shot all my passwords, then exported them, then exported all my bookmarks. haven't turned any of my comps off for 2 days to be sure they do not lose me again until I have time to manage the crisis that this has caused my business.
This nonsense cost me 2 days of work and a loss of earnings, pair all that nonsense with Elon Musk taking out my Twitter social management work I am livid -- and will be changing to a reliable browser at the same time as finding a new Twitter alternative.Incompetance will not be tolerated.

@kmara If you go to www.sync.opera.com, does it says that you have saved passwords synced?

@leocg Hi again Leo,
I just answered Paul Durham with a more comprehensive view of the problem we are facing when in-account data is lost, so I hope it gets passed and posted.
It was on the link below if it does.
I want to help those who lost in-account data because I found a way to retrieve it, but without acknowledgment that there is an account issue with the new updated browser it will never happen, my new post offers more insight.https://forums.opera.com/topic/65555/introducing-opera-102/117
