For Linux media crashes, make sure the libffmpeg.so in the "lib_extra" folder in Opera's install folder is compatible with Chromium 113. See the 113 folder at the "Look here first" link on this page. Or, if that doesn't work, try the 114 one to see if you get lucky.

@ironbone On Linux, you're required to use the
--lang=code
command-line switch. For example,--lang=de
.See https://forums.opera.com/post/299616 for more info.

@dopplerduck Linux too?
Yup. On Linux. I've switched back to 99.0.4788.31 with codec 113 for the time being.

Favicons load very slow on 99.0.4788.65 and Windows 10. Repeating issue.
Pinned tabs are there from load, new tabs and bookmarks bar often pending. -

@rick2 You don't need one to access that link. But, it's from the "look here first" link at https://www.reddit.com/r/operabrowser/wiki/opera/linux_libffmpeg_config/.

@burnout426: I know it. But why can I not just set the Language using UI?

I'm again getting fed decade old news from CNN, and in English, even when it's configured in spanish. Also why can't I select my own news channels? is it a contract thing?
I was very excited about a volcano eruption in El Salvador, except it happened in 2013.
Windows 11.

@burnout426 Thank you!
I completely forgot about that repo, I've been using the libs from https://github.com/nwjs-ffmpeg-prebuilt/nwjs-ffmpeg-prebuilt/ when the included in Opera were non-functional. -

The following page is missing the central content, which shows in Edge: https://tmraudio.com/loyalty-rewards/ Doesn't seem to be an ad blocking problem.

@ironbone The simple answer is that because Chromium doesn't support it on Linux (and I think macOS too) and Opera hasn't tried to patch in any kind of workaround.
As to why Chromium doesn't support it, not sure. You might be able to find a bug on it at https://bugs.chromium.org/p/chromium/issues/list?q=&can=1.

@burnout426 the version from herecura didn't work for me either, I had to revert to https://github.com/nwjs-ffmpeg-prebuilt/nwjs-ffmpeg-prebuilt/releases/tag/0.76.1 to make videos not crash Opera
